Biking in the Black Hills
In addition to our beautiful hills, lakes, and streams, The Black Hills is also a premier destination for avid mountain bikers. There are hundreds of biking trails throughout the area from beginner routes to more extreme.
In addition to the extreme mountain biking available, there are also more leisurely trails for anyone to enjoy. One of our favorites at Black Hills Adventure Tours is the George S. Mickelson Trail.
Completed in 1998, this trail stretches 109 miles long. The majority of the trail contains gentle slopes making it the perfect adventure for people of all abilities.
Depending on the level of activity you are looking for, Black Hills Adventure Tours can pick which part of the Mickelson Trail would be best for you and your family!
If you are looking to bike the entire Mickelson Trail Black Hills Adventure Tours offers shuttles from Deadwood to Edgemont or Edgemont to Deadwood.
